Teaching Practice - GP Registrar

We are very excited that this practice has been accredited by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners as a teaching practice for general practice registrars. GP Registrars are Doctors who have already completed at least eight years of medical training and have decided to specialize in General Practice. Dr Charlotte Cooper is our current GP Registrar. Dr Cooper will be well known to many patients at MMC as she has been with us for several years.

In addition we occasionally have 5th and 6th year medical students come to our practice to do some additional training. They are always under the direct supervision of our Medical Director, Dr Neil Beumelburg. All our clinical staff are involved in "Continuing Medical Education" (CME) and we see this as part of our ongoing role, not only as medical professionals, but also to assist ensure the community is well served for the future.
